James Garlitz seemed to have set a fantastic example of spare time recreation when he came out with his ‘Water Chopper’ for a test drive.
The amateur inventor, originally a pizza parlor owner, created almost a sedate version of Jet Ski with 1985 Yamaha Virago motorbike frame empowered by 1990 9.9-horsepower Nissan outboard motor enough to get a speed of 37 k.m. per hour. It took him $1000 in and two months to achieve his target.
Water chopper is a great innovation if one wants to go fly-fishing but I’m not sure, whether Garlitz will commercialize it.
