Chinese device maker Ramos introduced a new line of Android-based tablets, which will run on processors from Intel. All tablets will comes with the new i-series processors, equipped with Intel Clover Trail +. It is expected that the devices come to market later this month, while the cost will start at $ 195.
The company has released 4 new models at once. Ramos i8, i9, i10 and i12 have 8 -, 9 -, 10 – and 11.6-inch displays, respectively.
Ramos i8 is the budget model in the lineup. The device has 1 GB of RAM and an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. All other models are equipped with 2 GB of RAM, and displays have a resolution of full HD. Ramos i12 received a 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200.
All four versions are equipped with Atom Z2580 processor with a clock frequency of 2 GHz. This 2-core chip is built on 32 nm process technology and supports Hyperthreading. The platform, while not offering performance similar to the new Bay Trail chips released this week, however, provide very low power consumption, which is very important for mobile devices and tablets.
