I purchased one of these recently in Bangkok. I think it was just released. I think I made the right choice. Before I used the large (and excellent but old) iriver h320. It stopped working after quite a few years. I decided to go for something smaller, though I was worried about capacity. I need not have been.
I have discovered for my needs, which admittedly is nearly constant useage, 4 gb is fine. Sure, I have to change the music now and again, but that’s fine.
The touch sensitive button took a while to get used to, as did the small screen, but now I am happy with my player. It sounds great (with my Westone earphones) and it is very inexpensive.
My only minor complaint is that in an ideal world ALL mp3 players should be mains chargable. My h320 was a breeze to charge on holiday. My U4 won’t be. Guess I’ll have to go to an internet cafe for a few hours….
Overall, a great sounding little player.
