Intel has introduced a reference design tablet Studybook, based on the educational market. This Tablet is a rugged 7-inch tablet, which would cost less than $200.
Intel Studbook can operate as running Google Android, and Windows 7 (and possibly Windows 8, though right about that Intel does not claim). The device uses a 1.2-GHz processor Intel Atom Z650, 2GB of RAM and has 32GB of internal flash memory. Contains a USB port and a slot for microSD, and optional – miniHDMI connector and a slot for SIM-card. There are also two built-in camera.
Resolution 7-inch display is 1024×600 pixels, and a robust housing can withstand a fall from a height of 70 cm battery provides up to five and a half hours of battery life.
