The HMP-X5 MP3 player from Hitachi is a no frills one, packed with 2GB of memory it can playback MP3, WMA and WAV files. The four line display shows track information and other details. Voice recording is done in WAV format upto 140 hours. It connects via USB and is compatible with Mac and Windows alike. Nothing much to write on it as this is only what it does, basically an iPod Shuffle with a display.
The Hitachi HMP-X5 DAP measures 84×29×13mm and weighs 30.7 grams. It will be available in Japan from July 12 for 8000 Yen ($ 65).
