Sony the Tokyo-based Smartphone manufacturer after the launch of its advanced version of its Phablet – the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is going to launch Sony Xperia Z1 on 20th September, 2013 in India at an event in Delhi.
As per the rumours this device will come with a 5-inch triluminous display this device, will be powered by Android OS and will be the first Smartphone having the ability to capture videos at 4K resolution.
It is rumoured that this gadget will be costing around 50,000 INR. This Smartphone will also be the second phone with the Triluminous display concept. Specifications Of Sony Xperia Z1 AKA Sony Honami
- Operating System : Android
It is rumoured that this gadget will be powered by Android Operating System. It will be powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
- Processor : Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU
A processor is responsible for processing tasks in a gadget. According the rumours it will have Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz. If the phone will have the processor as per the rumours then it will process as smooth as butter.
This phone will also have a GPU which will be responsible for processing of tasks related to graphic but it is not known yet so we will update as soon as we come to know.
- RAM : 2GB
As per the rumours it will be having 2GB of RAM.
Generally, a device with more RAM is welcomed by people. It is not less because there are still computers with 1GB RAM.
- Memory :
– Internal : 16 GB
The rumours say that this phone will have 16 GB Internal memory but I think that this time Sony will upgrade to 32 GB internal memory to attract users towards it because Users get attracted to phones with more Internal memory easily.
– External : microSD card up to 64 GB
A device without external storage is not easily welcomed and even the rumours say that this device will be having External memory in the form of microSD card up to 64 GB. This specification attracts users who like to store bulk data in their phone so that they have access over it all time, wherever they go.
- Display : 5-inch
As per the rumours this device will be come with 5-inch Triluminous display. Sony Xperia Z Ultra was the first device from Sony with the concept of triluminous display. Most probably it would be the second device from Sony with Triluminous display concept.
The rumours say that it will be protected by shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is.
- Camera Quality : Both primary as well as secondary camera present

The rumours say that this device will be boasting a 20-Mega Pixels camera. It will encompass a Cyber-shot branded sensor that will have Carl Zeiss optics and a Sony G lens that the company uses for its shoot cameras.
Additionally, as per the rumours it is also expected to combine Sony’s BIONZ image processing engine and it is expected to be the first phone to be able to shoot video at 4K resolutions.
– Secondary Camera:
As per the rumours, this device will be having a Secondary camera. The camera quality is not known yet. But according to analysis it is said to have 2.2 Mega Pixels camera.
