Dogs are trained to sniff out pirated DVDs in Malaysia. According to Malaysia’s Ministry of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs, these 2 male Labradors from Nothern Ireland named Paddy & Manny are trained to smell chemicals used in DVD production & will become the world’s 1st permanent canine national anti-piracy unit when they go into action next month. Of course the dogs can’t tell between original & pirated DVDs, what they do is to help the officers to find the hidden caches of discs. The dogs were expected to be on duty in this coming April 2008. So, better stop selling or buying the pirated DVDs before they smell you.
