Planetarium Tellurium: A $1 million clock

The universe is a complex system of uncertainties and mysteries that no one till date has been able to crack. A watchmaker has made things easy for you to understand the mysteries of not the entire universe but surely the most important part of it – The Solar System.

Watchmaker Richard Mille has developed a unique watch that has an actual working model of the solar system installed on its head. The watch is so complex so we don’t either expect it to bear a name you can easily remember. Dubbed the Planetarium Tellurium, the machine (come on it’s now just a simple clock!) simulates the motion of the solar system that’s accurate to within one degree of rotation every 7.7 years.

It not only shows the planet revolving around the Sun, but all planets except Mercury rotate on the own axes. This amazing watch is made from expensive materials like titanium, steel, brass, gold, silver and red corundum. With such materials gone in the making we don’t expect to watch to be on the shelves of your nearest store as this masterpiece required more than $1 million to build. Certainly this is not everybody’s cup of tea.
