Qualcomm has developed a Vellamo, testing tool for assessing the performance of mobile internet. Available on Android Market app Vellamo, allows users to test the Android mobile device and select the model that has better performance.
According to the developers, Vellamo provides a holistic view of the browser performance by systematic measurement of each component, estimates of CPU and memory, speed of scrolling, JavaScript, HTML5, rendering speed and network access.
The application requires a device with a version of Android 2.1 and above. The developers have also submitted a video in which Ci Chowdhury (Sy Choudhury), Director of Product Management Qualcomm provides an overview of the application Vellamo, as well as various aspects of performance and browser settings for evaluating its performance.
