World’s First Automated Restaurant Opens In Germany

I can never imagine this……going to a restaurant and not being greeted and served by the handsome waiters, sexy waitresses and well-dressed managers! I mean ordering food via touchscreen and getting it on your table via railings is so damn indifferent and cold. However a new restaurant in Nuremberg, Germany, has replaced its human-staff with a completely automated system that delivers meals to diners via a gravity-powered rail system. The owner Michael Mack has installed the kitchen directly beneath the roof of the multistory restaurant. You can order their meals using a touch-screen system that is placed at each table, and the entire restaurant is networked via a computer system. Your orders will be registered upstairs in the kitchen and a computer in the cellar keeps track of supply stocks. The system also calculates the delivery time for drinks and meals at every table and keeps you updated about it. May be for once, you may enjoy this kind of service, but I’m sure its more fun when human interaction is a part of life. You wouldn’t want to go to a place where you don’t expect to say HI to the same face again. And what if you are not happy with your order……who do you complain to?
