Foxconn USA manufactures the first ever Smart Glasses which are developed by Google. The meaning of the word Glasses becomes broader by the launch of Google glasses. Gone are the days when glasses were only used for protection of eyes, With Google Glasses you can not only see but also capture the moments you see, record the moments you watch that too hands-free, moreover above all these you can even share what you see live at that time.
Google is making best possible use of the favourite Open source Android OS. These glasses will be powered by Android OS and the lenses of these glasses will be either from Ray-Ban or from Warby Parker. Google has also planned to sell these glasses through Google store. The developer version of these glasses costs around $1500 US Dollars.
These glasses will be powered by a 5Mega Pixel Camera which will be able to record videos at 720P that too Hands-Free. These glasses can be controlled by anyone using a set of Commands and the Touch Pad on its Top Right. The commands may be found at the manual book you get at the time of buying this Smart Glasses or can also be found at the Official Google Glasses’ site
The Glass will be accompanied by inbuilt apps like Google Now, Google Maps, Google+ and Gmail. Google also released the Mirror API to make the glasses more awesome. Most of the popular developers and companies like have started to make Applications for Glass.

These glasses will run on the smartest operating system these days. It will operate on Android 4.0.4 or higher versions

A RAM is responsible for the temporary storage. Google has placed 1GB RAM in these glasses but only 682 MB is available to the developers.

Storage Capacity is the amount of Memory available to the user to store data. Glasses will have 16GB of Memory (12GB Usable).
Inputs
This glass can receive inputs through Voice commands (through microphone), and It also comprises of various sets of sensors which make it more Handy, Sensors like Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor, Gravity sensor, Orientation sensor and will be controlled by Touchpad
Connectivity Features
- Bluetooth: It will be having a Bluetooth for transferring files from the storage to other place.
- Wi-Fi: It will also be come with Wi-Fi 802.911 b/g for sharing the Media captured using it through the apps installed in it.
Lenses
The lenses used in these glasses will be made either by Ray-Ban or Warby Parker. It is said that the user with abnormal eyesight will not be able to use these glasses because it will be designed taking in consideration the eye sight of an Individual with normal eyesight
Release Date
This device will be available to the customers at the end of 2013. The developer version already hit the market during February, 2013. Google is planning to sell this product through stores (Google Stores)
