Kanvas Roll-up Display: Slideshows Re-invented!

What do you do when you want to show your pictures to a bunch of people? True you could squeeze them on your iPod or maybe a cell phone, but the tiny screen wouldn’t be visible by a crowd. In times like these, you wish the slide projectors had not vanished, well almost! The Kanvas visual display system is the brainchild of Timo Wong, who has brought the slideshow back in fashion. The roll up collapsible easel holds a 30-inch ultra-flexible screen made of color e-paper. Standing on three adjustable legs, it does not require a projector or dim lighting and is accompanied with a remote controal.

Kanvas is portable and can be used in the office, home, or on any outdoor location. The external media sources can be streamed wirelessly to the display system and it functions on a built-in rechargeable battery. The catch is that the Kanvas, though extremely attractive, is a concept product with no immediate plans for release.
I can’t say whether I would get lured by one even if a working prototype was available!
