Currently in Smartphone market we can see there are many announcements made daily. Recently after Samsung, LG, Apple, etc. launched different kinds of Smartphone into the market. Now beating the race Nvidia has launched Tegra 4i in competition with Qualcomm. The main USP about Nvidia Tegra 4i is that it comes with integrated wireless data technology that too at low cost. According to tech experts its believed that due to this feature Smartphone’s with High level of processing power and extra ordinary 3D Graphics processing will be there in market soon.
Nvidia team members from office based Santa Clara, Calif said that Nvidia Tegra 4i has best performance compared with any other single chip based Smartphone processor. So if in true sense the processor could attain the performance what’s being said by the company officials for sure this processor will gain high share in Smartphone market. Nvidia Tegra 4i will surely help the company to gain high market share in Smartphone processor and will help them to attain better shift from main frame business. Their main frame business is development of Graphic cards for Computers at the moment.
Nvidia has made the announcement of Nvidia Tegra 4i before Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is going to be held in Barcelona Spain. The company has also announced that they will be showcasing the Chip in MWC. They also added that some sample Smartphone’s powered with Nvidia Tegra 4i processors will be showcased in MWC. This will help customers to understand the power of Nvidia Tegra 4i.
Talking about Nvidia Tegra 4i processor the size of processor is more smaller than the previous version Tegra 4 processor which is currently more popular in Tablets and Super Phones. So it can be said that the processor is compact yet powerful.
In context to Nvidia’s Tegra 4i announcement, Qualcomm has said that they are coming up with 600 and 800 series Snapdragon processor very soon into market. And thing worth marking about this two processor’s is that they both will be having high end 3D graphic processing ability and will be having ability to deliver 150 megabits of data in high speed LTE network. So for sure Nvidia will be facing tough competition with Qualcomm in the market.
In return answer to this statement Nvidia said that their processor (i.e Tegra 4i) is half in size and probably will consume less power than Qualcomm’s series 600 and 800 processor. Also they added that Tegra 4i has ability to process data 2.5 times faster than Qualcomm’s series 800 processor.
Nvidia Tegra 4i is output of project which is code named as Project Grey. Tegra 4i has 60 custom graphic cores for rendering 3D data and 4 high end microprocessor cores for processing high end data. It uses 2.3 Ghz R4 cortex A9 Processing unit which is more efficient and is completely new in ARM series.
So for sure this processor is going to create high buzz in Smartphone market with its high power ability at low price.
