With Tennis fever gripping all and sundry, Gitanjli group unveiled a new collection of jewelry on Monday,named the ‘Wimbledon Jewelry’. Among other items, it has a diamond studded tennis ball, to be presented to the winner of the men’s Wimbledon champion of 2007, who of course is Roger Federer. The ball is made of 24-carat gold and studded with diamonds making it an awesome piece worth Rs 35 lakhs.
None other than the beautiful star Tanushree Dutta launched the ball from the Tesoro range of Gitanjli group. It was informed that the company had signed a three-year licensee right to make and market jewelry under the Wimbledon brand. The marketing rights for this special jewelry and Wimbledon accessories have been given to Jewelry Marketing Company (New York), Gitanjali Retail (Middle East), DIGICO (China) and Gitanjali Gems (India).
